Hang Up
Your Worries.
Hand-woven hammocks, hanging chairs and tree-friendly straps — soft where it should be, strong where it matters.

We spin the yarn.
We weave the bed.
Nothing is outsourced.
It started with a borrowed loom in 2008. Today, Summer Hammock is one of the only hammock makers that spins its own yarn and weaves every bed in-house — so we control the softness, the stretch, and the colors from cotton bale to doorstep.
From Fiber to Your Backyard
Every Summer Hammock passes through 40 pairs of hands — and our own yarn mill — before it ever reaches a pair of trees.
Fiber Sourcing
Combed long-staple cotton and recycled poly filament — certified, traceable, chosen for softness over cost.
Yarn Spinning
Our in-house mill twists and plies the fiber into SummerWeave™ — a proprietary yarn no one else can buy.
Small-Batch Dyeing
Yarn-dyed in small vats — leaf greens, sun golds, sunset oranges — so color soaks through every thread.
Loom Weaving
Row by interlocked row on wooden looms. A classic takes three hours; a double takes five.
Hand-Finishing
End loops braided, fringes knotted, edges rolled twice by hand — so nothing frays for a decade.
Hang-Tested
Every unit hangs at twice its rated capacity, then gets a real nap from a real inspector.

I strung the Coastal Breeze between two mango trees in my courtyard and my afternoon chai has never been the same. Three years in the Dhaka sun and the green still looks brand new.
Took the TrailNest on a two-week trek through the hills. Setup is stupidly fast, the bug net actually works, and it packed back into its pouch first try — which never happens.
We bought the Sunset Stripe for our anniversary. Now there are two hammocks, one hanging chair, and a permanent custody arrangement for weekend naps. Zero regrets.
